Tucked away in the protected waters of George Inlet, approximately 15–20 miles from downtown Ketchikan, this remote waterfront cabin offers the kind of privacy and off-grid experience that’s getting harder to find—and easier to appreciate. George Inlet is close enough for access, yet far enough away to feel like your own world. The cabin is well-built and fundamentally sound, constructed on a post-and-beam grid of 6” x 8” timbers set on concrete pads bearing directly on bedrock. At 30’ x 18’, the layout is efficient, practical, and solid. The living area is warmed by a wood stove, with a functional kitchen featuring a propane range, a bathroom with a composting toilet, and a shower with an on-demand hot water setup. A 15’ x 18’ loft provides additional sleeping or storage space and is accessed from the main living area. Power is supplied by generator, and the essentials are in place for comfortable off-grid living. A metal roof is designed for rainwater catchment, with a 450-gallon storage tank already on site and ready to connect. Included separately, if desired, is a substantial collection of tools and equipment; generators, shop tools, ladders and a well used assortment of crab and shrimp pots and fishing gear. There is deferred maintenance to address, specifically the deck and stairway from the beach, both of which will require replacement. This condition has been reflected in the pricing. What you’re buying is not a finished product, but a structurally sound cabin with clear upside. Properties like this are increasingly rare. When they come available, they don’t last long once the right buyer recognizes the opportunity. George Inlet One Sub, Lot 3, Block 1, Twnshp 74 S, Range 91 E, Copper River Meridian, Plat 2000-72,
